| The Basics Your Profile is what you fill out when you make your character. With that, the Nexus will then give you your starting power. That's when you need to start adding to your Profile. Don't edit the post that you did, that will always stay the same. Instead, you're going to start a new post to keep track of things, including your powers and how you use them. That's the only thing that you're required to add, and that's just so that way other members can see how powerful you are with your powers. Your character sheet can only tell so much. The Character Sheet is something that is generated with your character's magic information. It tells what level your character is, what powers they have, the level your powers are at, and what rank and level you're at with Spells and Potions. But we can't put on how you use your powers, which is why you need to add it to your Profile. Now obviously it sounds like you could cheat and say that you can use your powers in ways that you haven't been granted yet. However, staff has records that tell us who has what power and how they can use that power, so that way you can't cheat. If you're caught cheating, then you will be stripped of any power that you're cheating with. Suggestions People add different things to their characters' profiles on all sorts of sites. One of the things that is really helpful is something that is known as a thread tracker. All that this is is a post that keeps track of all of the threads you have been in, with a short description of what happened. So what it does is give a history to your character while they've been RPing. You can add anything you would like to this, it's entirely up to you! While it's not mandatory by any means, I do highly suggest it, as you can easily find a thread that you were in before that you want to find something on. Another suggestion of mine is that you create an ad thread for your character in The Legacies, where others can post to make plans with you to RP with you. It's a great way for you to get your character out there and to meet other interesting people to RP with! How are you going to find anybody cool to RP with if you can't market your character? | |
